Created for the 2024 Neo-Twiny Jam, clocking in at exactly 500 words (thank you hyphens). The software used was binksi , created by smwhr

You are a weary traveller looking for a hot meal and a place to lay your head down. You come across an inn that serves each guest exactly what they need right now, drawing from memory and the past. What will they serve you?

A short, cosy fantasy piece. Largely a tribute to food in fantasy literature, and how delicious those authors made everything sound. Also Dungeon Meshi.

Use arrow keys or spacebar to interact with objects.

This game would have been impossible to make without the help of  various plugins & hacks created by Seleb, Florian Cargoet, and JSMonzani. Thanks!

The tiles used were from Kenney Assets and the music courtesy of Darren Curtis.

This game made me immediately extremely hungry.

Aww, that was hekkin fun. What a nice idea! And now I'm hungry...

That was so sweet and cozy! I loved how you described the food (I'm hungry now ;-;) and the atmosphere of the Inn almost makes it seem like a place that exists just a little beyond the world. Is it magical? Who knows--but the food certainly tastes as such

<33 this was so niiice. so cozy and warm. also made me really hungry.

Very cute little game, I enjoyed the atmosphere of it! The music fits very well too!
Oh I just noticed you've credited my hack, that's a funny coincidence! ;)
I've just posted my submission if you're interested too, this time with Twine and a custom style.

this is very neat. On phone, you just move around and interact by moving touch in a particular direction. It’s a really smooth interaction interface. And the little game play tricks and discovery is just right. Nice to play a happy game. Thank yum.

This was really lovely! I really liked how alive the inn felt and talking to all of NPCs :)

So cozy! Really enjoyed this <3
